This case is designed to house both a 3'x5' flag and its accompanying certificate or medals above, with the two display areas separated by a solid wood divider.  There is room to display the certificate either horizontally (as shown in photo) or vertically if needed.  We build this case in two thicknesses...a 3" which best fits the thicker folding U.S. cotton flags...and a 2.5" which gives a better fit for the thinner folding nylon flags.  While I can't speculate for all state flags, customers wishing to display a 3'x5" cotton TEXAS flag will find that a 2.5" case will work just fine.

If you are unsure if the flag is cotton or nylon, order the 3" case.

NOTE:  This has become our most popular item on the website, due largely to our many brave men & women serving our country in the U.S. Armed Forces.  Please be patient as we work hard to catch up.  Delays may be unavoidable, but know that we will get your orders out as quickly as we are able.   Currently, we are running about 4 to 8 weeks out on this item, depending on the wood ordered and the number of orders ahead of it. 

At the moment (11/19/08)  we have three 2.5" Oak cases ($83) and a Padauk case ($125) nearing completion that are not already sold. We have also started a couple of 2.5" Cedar ($83) that are not yet spoken for.  Be aware that these particular cedar cases have a lot of white sapwood and only spots of red heartwood.  There is nothing wrong with them, they are just not the typical red cedar cases that we usually offer.

Two Certificates? We recently built six cases for a bomber pilot out of Ellsworth AFB in South Dakota to house one 3'x5' nylon flag and two certificates, printed horizontally, for flags that he had flown with him over both Afganistan and Iraq.  It would also work well for a single certificate and medals. This case was 16.5"x29"x2.5" and sells for $105 in Oak or Cedar and $115 in Walnut or the Dyed Oaks.  While we're not ready to make this a stock item, it is available as a special order.  Email or call to order this item.
